The Morpho peleides is famous for its spectacular blue wings. The male carries that intense, almost electric blue, while the female has softer tones and a different wing pattern. Side by side they make a particularly striking duo.
The finest thing about these butterflies is the iridescence: depending on the light, the blue shifts in both colour and intensity. It makes this dome rewarding to look at from every angle.
