The two squirrels are set at different heights on a beautifully weathered piece of wood. The natural poses give the composition plenty of movement and make the whole thing feel almost like a small scene from the forest.
It is precisely the combination of these two different species that makes this piece extra special. The warm tones of the fur, the characteristic full tails and the natural wood stand out beautifully against the black base.
