Polished Goniatite – Fossil (approx. 5 cm)
Discover a fascinating piece of prehistory with this beautifully polished goniatite from Morocco. Goniatites were remarkable marine animals that inhabited the oceans hundreds of millions of years ago, long before the first dinosaurs appeared.
These extinct cephalopods were related to ammonites and lived in a characteristic spiral shell consisting of several chambers. The dividing walls between these chambers formed distinctive patterns, the lines of which can remain visible after fossilization.
Our goniatites have been carefully cut and polished, beautifully highlighting their distinctive spiral structures and natural markings. The fine, light-colored lines, in particular, create a striking contrast with the dark brown, gray, and black tones of the fossil.
The specimens measure approximately 5 cm. Each goniatite has its own unique shape, color, and pattern, formed by millions of years of geological history.
Thanks to their glossy finish, these fossils are not only remarkable collectibles but also stylish decorative natural pieces.
