Ammonite Paperweight – Subtle Fossil Pattern
Bring a special piece of prehistory into your home with this polished fossil paperweight from Morocco. A stylish natural history object in which the beauty of ancient marine animals combines with a practical and decorative function.
These special stones contain spiral-shaped fossils of extinct cephalopods from the ammonoid group. These marine animals inhabited the oceans hundreds of millions of years ago and lived in characteristic, chambered shells.
The specimens with a subtle fossil pattern are characterized by smaller or less pronounced fossil spirals, which are naturally embedded in the rock. The light fossil structures form a refined contrast with the warm brown, red, gray, and earth tones of the stone.
The top is smoothly polished, making the natural colors and fossil details beautifully visible. The bottom is flat and unpolished, so the paperweight can stand stably on a desk, cabinet, or other flat surface.
With a size of approximately 5.5 to 8 cm, these fossils are particularly suitable as a decorative collectible, desk accessory, or original gift.
