These remarkable marine animals were related to the modern nautilus and lived in elongated shells consisting of several chambers.

In these specimens, the rock surrounding the fossil has been partially removed, beautifully highlighting the characteristic shape of the shell. The fossil itself has been carefully polished, while the surrounding rock retains its natural, rough appearance.

The regularly shaped chambers and fine fossil structures are clearly visible.
